Commisioned by Canberra Health Services to provide an Artists’ perspectives on the ACT COVID-19 front line health response capturing a series of photographs from those working at the vaccination and testing centres, capturing contact tracers, epidemiologists and others supporting the COVID-19 response
I was visiting the AIS when I saw the Canberra Health Services staff dressed as superheroes for a child vaccination day enabled me to show CHS staff as they truly are; our Hidden Heroes. They took an oath to take care of people and communities and unexpectedly their work placed them on the frontlines. We don’t know their names, nor do we know their faces, however, these masked individuals truly became our modern-day superheroes in these extraordinary times.
